I don't know where he's going, but I'm hoping they released him to make cap room to sign Jamal Lewis. They need that short yardage back that can pound it up the middle like the Bus did.

I think Porter will stay in the division, likely with the hated Cleveland Browns. In the NFL, no matter how great you are or were with your team, it all comes down to dollars and cents. And if you cost your team too many of them, then you can book your ticket outta there. Thats why Porter got cut. His salary cap hit is too high. Forget this guy played his heart out and helped win you a Super Bowl. Forget he along with Polamalu are the faces of your defense. Doesn't matter now. The NFL stands for No Freakin' Loyalty. But thats the nature of the beast.

Porter is going where ever the Green $$$ is ... he's that type of player, he was due a $1 million dollar roster bonus this Monday which he won't be getting. Look for Porter to go to team like the Giants or even the Cheifs due to their lack of LB's

Arena Football. He was released because he sucks and talks more than he plays. Joey "Do Nuthin" Porter will probably be overpaid by some stupid team and he will continue his mediocre career while not scaring anyone with his lame trash talk.

I didn't know they released him...

OK well if they did you can move Porter to #2 on the FA list just behind Adalius Thomas.

Salary Cap, Yes. Playing for the Browns no way. He would beat that Winslow punk silly in practice and he will get picked up by a good team because he is a beast that can lead a defense like Ray Lewis did a few years back.

He is going in for a big pay day. He doesnt even have to go to a winning team because he has his ring. They didnt want to risk him challenging the authority of their new young head coach. Because he was a very vocal guy and leader on that team.
