Has anyone ever tried remapping microsofts swap file to a jump drive instead of the hard drive? Does this speed up Windows??

Supposedly you can with Vista and ReadyBoost. Haven't tried Vista yet, can't comment.

It would have to be USB 2, otherwise the performance isn't there.

It's not a bad idea as jump drives are random access. I don't know about the transfer rates though.
