define the term oxidation and explain how it applies to the difference in the structures of FAD and FADH2... pls.....

One way to look at it is that when you combine something with oxygen, it is said to be oxidized. When you combine with hydrogen, it is said to be reduced. So if you compare FAD to FADH2, the FADH2 is in it's reduced form, whereas the FAD is in the oxidized form.
