Alright, if you're easily addicted to games and you know it, don't get it! I play WoW and I LOVE it (lvl 68 :] ), but I'm not overly obsessive. I will play for hours at a time sometimes but there's some pretty crazy people out there.
You could try the 14 day trial, it's about $2 you can pick it up at GameStop or EB games or most game stores.
If you don't like it, move on, if you like it toooo much, also move on!
I don't think it's the game so much as it is the person as far as obsession goes. I think naturally some people get obsessed with thing and others can enjoy it without getting too pulled in.
There's seriously people in other countrys who die from playing it so much and neglecting their serious needs, like food and water.
If you trust yourself to not get pulled in completely, and you think you can stop if you want, then go ahead and get it.
If you think you're starting to get addicted you have to pull away from the game for a few days! None of that "oh let me finish this quest before I eat" crap, go and eat!

Give it a try. I probably play it too much myself...so can I give you good advice? Not sure on that.
You can set up 'parental controls' on your account on the website...it will basically cut you off at a certain amount of time played if you set it up to do so.
Yes, you can just go in and disable it but if you really want to keep your played time limited, having the game up an disconnect you will likely be enough spark to get you to stop for the day.

Its upto you how you control yourself. People get addicted to single player games too.
You can start playing this gane because it is worth trying but choose a time slot and decide you are not going to continue playing it even for a single second after that.
Wish you a good luck and see you in the WORLD OF WARCRAFT.

My boyfriend and I both play (we're in Michigan), we also play with our friend and his girlfriend that live in Texas and are going to school.
It's a great way to keep in touch with your friends, but like the game says, take it in moderation.
If I don't have anything else to do, I'll play, but WoW NEVER interferes with my real life plans and friends. If something is going on in real life, WoW goes on the backburner.
To face your fear, try the 10-day free trial of WoW on http://www.worldofwarcraft.com and see what you think of it before you make a commitment to the game.

This depends on your personal maturity. If you are the type of person who understands your resposibilities in life and do your best to complete them, you probably will not get sucked in.
Also, i recommend trying the trial first. I played the trial and didnt enjoy it. its not like you will enjoy the game no matter what. there is a chance you won't.

DON'T!! Once upon a time I had a loving, caring boyfriend who loved me very much, but now I have a 30 year old child. He plays that damn game for like 5 hours a day! So, I just hate that game, don't get started.

I think they have a two week trial available at Best Buy. It costs about $2. Try it out and if you find it sucks away your life and your soul, just don't renew it when the two weeks end.

No, in no way. A single worldwide language could decimate worldwide lifestyle, get rid of industries, and price an unfathomable volume of money and time. to no longer point out, the question of what language could be chosen (Mandarin is, in spite of each and every little thing, the main spoken language).
