No. He is still in charge of the Executive Branch. He's not under any pressure to listen to a bunch of partisan Democrats bent on obstructing anything he does over the next two years.

He already has been listening. Do you seriously think he would even think of talking to Iran if there weren't the oversight of the Democratic controlled Congress? He has changed his stance slightly on a number of things. Would Rummy have been fired? I don't think so but with the Democratic controlled Congress and oversight he had little choice.

He already did, you see everyone forgets the Democrat as well as a lot of others, backed him up and agreed with his decision to invade Iraq. Now that they are back peddling and leaving him to fend for himself everyone forgets that fact. Our president is merely following up on the situation instead of hiding and changing his opinion, in my eyes he is a stronger person for that.
