I need a document from my friend that's about 70 mb. In the past I use fileden.com to transfer big files but they only allow uploads up to 50 mb. Is there another site I can use to transfer bigger files or is there another way I can transfer them over the internet?

First option is to compress the document & if it's not multimedia file the size of the file will reduce more than waht U imagin.
If that didn't work u can use any programm to divide your file into two or three parts then U can send it by the same site which u used to transfere throw.

Try using a free messenger like aim, msn or yahoo. I believe I used aim to transfer a 100 MB file to a friend.

First, ZIP it. This will do two things. It makes it smaller, and it will also protect against data corruption.
Then, use an FTP site. You should be able to search and find a free one. You both log in and the site will facilitate the transfer. Try ftp.drivehq.com or www.coffeecup.com/free-ftp. Or just google it.

best way is to copy the file to a cd and send it by post or you could actually transfer it by msn file transfer service, on the messenger i mean .but it would take ages and ages so if you started the transfer in the morning it could probably finish the transfer by night or smth..

Use a zip program to zip it. That will shrink the size of the file down to 25% or so.

Or your could download an ftp server for your PC... then let your friend pull it directly from your PC when he wants.

Provided your both on broadband.
