can i play xbox 360 games in the usa?

im from London, England and moving to Olando, florida and want to bring my xbox 360 games with me but buy a new xbox 360 when i get there, will the games work on the US version ?

There should be no reason for them to not work. Especially since both countries speak English, though the American version of English tends to have major differences in word meaning...
