What do you mean? Are you looking for a President that was elected to THAT office, but no other? Are you looking for a technicality of law, such was the case of George W. Bush? Are you looking for a VP that took the office of President when the President? Someone else (e.g., Ford, who was Speaker)?

Other than the GWB issue, I'd say Ford, since he was not elected to either President or VP. However, he was elected to the House.

I am truly sorry, but your question makes absolutely no sense. How can one be elected to office without ever being elected?

In 1974, Gerald Ford became the president of the US, although he was not elected. he ascended to the office through the constitutional process. he had become V after the resignation of Spiro Agnew (nominated and approved by Congress) and then became president according to the order of succession. He served until January 20, 1977, when James Earl (Jimmy) Carter was sworn in.

I assume you mean "never elected to the office of president or vice president."

Gerald Ford is unique in that regard. He was appointed to the office of Vice President the assumed the Presidency when Nixon resigned.

The claims Bush was not elected are just losers doing some whining. Ignore them.

I think this person means being elected as President without being elected to anything PRIOR to being elected president. For instance, if Perot or Nader had won their first role in government would be President.

Without looking, I'm guessing Eisenhower, but let me check. Yeah, it was Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Gerald Ford was never elected as President. He was named as Vice Pres when Spiro Agnew resigned and the Pres when Dick Nixon resigned.
