i have a nokia 7610. i want to connect it to my pc so that i could have the datas transfered from it to pc and vice versa. i tried installing nokia pc suit. but, the problem is that i have only a data cabel and dont have bluetooth in pc. iduring the installation, it stated that i have to download the software for the data cabel to be used and because i dont have it, the error was displayed that errors may occur as it was not properly installed. now, should i download that software for data cable to be used and my major doubt is that if there are any such things for a data cable! i tried searching for such a thing in the nokia site. but, unable to get it till now! help me please.............

the best way to troubleshoot is download nokia pc suite better go to the 7610's official site...

well as far as i m concerned i don't think you have brought ORIGINAL blue tooth cable of nokia b\z they are costly approx. Rs. 1000. And if u brought the original u must have the CD that comes along it. use that cd to find the cable drivers if You have brought the original.
if u have purchased a local one approx. Rs 200. Then there are two cases .
1. the cable if faulty. try using it on another computer.If it works your USB port is faulty try another one. If it occurs on every port go to 2.
2. You have to install SERVICE PACK 2( SP2) with XP. it automatically recognize and install the appropriate drivers.
if none of the above case help you, then i am sorry i can't help. U should give a visit to mobile mechanic.

hi swetha,
first install the Driver for the DataCable(DKU-2) and than restart you will find this drivers in the CD provided with the phone and than restart the PC
after u restart install the PCSuite, and select the connection option as cable
insert the cable in the USB port and connect it to the cell phone..
you will find the messege new hardware found wait for some time and let the update finish.
after this u can use PC Suite to transfer data.

Nothing you have to do,buy one infrared port from market ,conect it to your pc and install infrared software from cd that come with infrared port.after that enable your mobile infrared and put that infrared led in front of pc infrared
you can send data from your mobile
