Perhaps you just didn't notice. Yes, a few days before you ovulate, the cervical mucus has the consistency of egg whites. It is too thick to drip into your panties and yes, you must enter your vagina to actually feel the mucus.
Don't be embarrassed. Around the time you think you'll ovulate, go to the bathroom and while you're in a sort of stooped position, with clean hands, insert one finger towards your cervix. Remove finger and touch that finger to your thumb. Then release, you should have a mucus thread attached to your thumb and finger at that point. If the thread breaks, it's too thin to be a sign of ovulation. If the thread remains and seems sticky (like egg whites), be prepared girlfriend because you're going to ovulate in the next day or two.
I let my husband check my cervix. We turn it into foreplay. Good luck to you honey.

Some people have a lot of CM and it leaks out. Others have to go inside to double check. It's different for everyone. I'm a person that has a LOT of discharge and sometimes I think it would be nice if I didn't. But i guess it's just easier to tell if you do. But if you're drier, it doesn't mean that your not ovulating, it just means that your body doesn't produce as much mucous. Talk to you Dr. if you want to look at increasing it, or, even better, track your temperature, cervical position as well as mucous to get a better well-rounded picture.

Okay this applies to when you are turned on. This is going to sound gross so bare with me to answer your question.... If you get it on two of your fingers if you can stretch it that is what is know as the egg white that you are hearing about. As you get further along into your cycle the less stretchy it becomes. You normally wouldn't notice it. It's not like it will just be dripping out (if it does thought that is a sign to call your dr) If you are still questioning this you might also want to go to your dr. Have a piece of paper that has what you want to ask. Remember no question is a dumb question. I also ways try to take a list so I don't forget normally you get about 30 mins with your dr and if you think you aren't ovulating maybe your dr can test you and tell you what you need to know. My question is are you try to conceive? if so you might want to use this. Your first day of that time of the month is your first day of your cycle. normally in the avg woman her 14th day is her most fertile day. BUT remember you have a 24 hrs time frame normally to get pregnant. Also sperm doesn't all die off untill 72 hrs. So if you aren't trying and you aren't on Birth Control this is still not a safe way to stay away from having a baby. Hope this helps smile.

hey! when i check my cervical mucus i have to wash hands and check with index finger that's the best way for me and it doesn't mean you're not ovulating it just may mean that you don't produce a lot of mucus which is ok i dont produce a lot either. i would check my cervical position as soon as my period stops and check it every day to notice your own cervical position because every woman is different also your cervix during ovulation is Soft High Open Wet. you also buy an ovulation predictor kit they are a little costly but they really work!! good luck to you!!

Some women do not think they are having EWCF b/c they do not notice any when they wipe or on their underwear. THey might only be having a small amt at the cervix (internally checking the cervix would be one way to be sure). That small amount could be enough to conceive, but it could also be the reason for a delay in conception.
Lack of or poor quality CF can be caused by many things. There might not be enough estrogen in the woman's body. Coming off the pill can result in months of creamy or thick CF which is't as fertile as EWCF. Being dehydrated or taking antihystamines or decongestants can seriously affect CF.
Increasing CF: First of all, you should be sure that you are getting enough water. The estimates I've heard range from .5 oz per lb of body weight to 1 quart per 50lbs of body weight.
Vit A: Some women have a lot of success at increasing CF by eating lots of Vit A foods and/or taking an Omega-3 supplement w/ Vit A like cod liver oil caps. So, you might try eating lots of carrots, sweet potatoes, etc. Try an Omega-3 supplement w/ natural VIT A as you always need Omega-3s anyway. Be careful of syntethic Vit A as too much can be toxic or cause birth defects. Beta-carotene and the Vit A in cod liver oil/caps is very safe, to my knowledge.
Green tea: You can try drinking a cup of green tea daily. I've tried the green tea caps personally and didn't find them to work like the brewed tea. Don't drink bottled green tea as it usually doesn't have enough of the substance which helps CF. Brew your own green tea at home. SOme brands taste better than others (I like one flavored w/ lemon grass), so shop around if you don't find one you like at first.
Grapefruit juice: some women swear by drinking a daily glass of grapefruit juice.
Guafenasin (spelling?): Plain robitussin or the generic can thin CF and maybe aid in conception. It's very important that it's PLAIN b/c the decongestant contained in the combos can actually dry up CF.
Real eggwhite: SOme women have use and been successful w/ real eggwhite. The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility outlines the procedure (though you're sure to find info on ovusoft.com too).
Preseed: It's vaginal lubricant that is supposed to help replace EWCF. I haven't tried it and don't know much about it. You can check out ovusoft.com though or do a web search
Be Careful of Clomid: Clomid can dry up CF, preventing conception even if it triggers ovulation.
W/o fertile CF, conception is really impossible (except w/ maybe IUI) b/c the sperm can only live 30min-4hrs in the woman's body. W/ fertile CF (especially EWCF) the sperm can live up to 5 days.
If you have very little EWCF, you should take extra care to time intercourse w/ it, even if it "disappears" the day before ovulation.
You might try checking internally to determine if you really do have only a little or if it's just not coming out of your body so that you notice it. Sometimes, EWCF can slip out into the toilet before we notice it and it can seem as if we don't have much or any.
Some good sources for charting your fertility signs: Fertilityfriend.com (free software as well as a pay-for version and on-line charting turorial); ovusoft.com (discussion boards for many fertility related issues, much info on fertility after the pill, and a very good software for purchase). The books Taking Charge of Your Fertility (associated w/ the the ovusoft website and software), The Art of Natural Family Planning, and Garden of Fertility

I placed on a pantyliner daily once you talk approximately that vaginal discharge could properly be very organic. It seems such as you're geared up to your era. i began after i replaced into as quickly as 12 the appropriate option on yule day... yuletide morning to be distinctive.. Oh what a yule pressie lol.. I knew it replaced into as quickly as coming 'intent i had somewhat some vaginal discharge and cramps in my tummy. i'm now 30 and it does not get plenty much less confusing (sorry to assert)
