k! i usually dont care about celebrities but dont you agree that beyonce is a wannabe shakira. i saw their video together and beyonce isnt middle eastern, why is she trying to belly dance. beyonce cant even speak or understand spanish, she needs to stick to her own stuff she isnt hispanic and she isnt middle eastern either

For one thing, belly dancing was developed in the Middle East. And the fact is that Shakira DOES have Middle Eastern heritage - her father is Lebanese.
That said, I do think that Beyonce is trying to copy Shakira - but it's only because she admires her so much. She has been talking for a LONG time about how much she wants to collaborate with her. It's kind of cute, really.

I honestly don't know and don't care about Beyonce or Shakira or how Beyonce is trying to be like her. But all I do know is that belly dancing is something anyone can pick up and it's an awesome dance that anyone should be able to enjoy.
I know I've been wanting to learn belly dancing for ages before it became such a hype as it is now.

Beyonce will never be shakira, i think shakira is better looking,sexeir,better voice,better dancing you right that imataion belly dancing is so bad, i am from lebanon i can pick a fack dancer a mile away. i think in the whole music business shakira is got it al ..no comptaion

Beyonce is herself. Shakira aint nobody to try to be. Beyonce is multi talented and is just showcasing those talents by doing things such as belly dancing. Shakira betta take some notes from Beyonce.

Im middle eastern, and I think beyonce is just as good as shakira!:s .. Many many ppl choose beyonce as their role model, and i dont think she's a wannab.. y would she b one, i think she's just being her self and trying to learn new things... Maybe shes just open minded and adventurous?

I havent seen the video, but I dont understand why they cant collaborate together to create something great, is it at least a good video? I know a lot of people that sing in spanish and dont understand it. At least they dont hate each other. Things could be worse.

I am still laughing. Remember when Madonna wanted to be Spanish. I love Madge so don't get me wrong. But I think every entertainer tries to venture into another ethnicity just because they want to appeal to other ethnicity groups.
