What is the true (or what do you think the) definition of soulmates mean? Because I remember a verse, it said "True Opposites".
What does that mean "true opposites", I don't understand.

Soul mates are people who are not exactly alike, but whose qualities complement each other. For instance, one is a dreamer with an artistic soul, the other is sensible and grounded. When we admire opposite qualities in another, we admit that we lack these qualities and are willing to let someone else balance us.

Someone once told me "Your soul mate isn't your twin - they are meant to challenge you - otherwise you'd never learn and grow." I think those are very wise words.

We have many soulmates and some of them can challenge us in many ways to get to the next level by dealing with our issues.I don't know what you mean by opposites but I have experienced having opposite astrological things happening with a man and were magnetically attracted to each other. We are in different countries and I know that we both think about each other often even though we may never see each other again.

It just seems to mean that there is a type of connection between two people beyond what seems natural. As far as the phrase, "true opposites," I think that is referring to a sense of compatibility and synergy through balancing out each other's personalities.

Please donot bother about some such new coined words. every writer wants to come up with something that others have NOT used so far. They want to be one up on the others . That is it. If you come across such words try to understand in what context the writer has used it. That is all.

Over these years , the conventional use of the word "soulmate" seems to convey the meaning that he/she is the one in whose company we seem to be at ease and happy. Someone who seeems to understand you and respect you for what/ who you are. That is it.

The "true opposite" that you refer to could also mean two people who think , act , behave , react totally opposite but still are the best of friends. I donot know.

it is not about another person, but about particular feelings to arise ...one for two...It unifies in Peace...we made it "about" another person and as a result do not have everlasting unity, but seeing and experiencing both , love and hate. Extreme pull and extreme push. That is opposites...unification of opposites cannot be done in extreme ends without disaster....True opposite perhaps , would not be defined, well may be Peaceful opposite, not an extreme?

For me, a soulmate means finding someone to complete your life when you didn't now you weren't complete in the first place.

My husband is my true opposite, meaning he is calm, I am hyper, he likes black licorice, I hate it, he is a poor at math, I thrive within it, he is brunette, I am blond, he hates paper work, I love it, he dislikes animals in the house, I have 5 pets in the house( I win, nanny nanny !!!) .

I could go on and on about our differences. These differences bind us and keep us both grounded and in love due to our respect we have for the differences.

Life is damn good when you find your soulmate and have the ability to overlook the differences, to bring you closer together.

I don't think that there is anything like a "soulmate" in any place except romance novels. In real life, relationships are work, not matter what the initial attraction is.

I think soul mates is two people that are meant to be together. They have chemistry and enjoy being around each other. They both Love each other and feel that there is no other person in the world that they would rather be with. Basically I think it means two people who are meant to be together. I don't think you necessarily have to be opposites to attract. Regardless if you are opposite or similar to the person, it is the chemistry the two people feel.

A soulmate is the person you know has existed ever since you were able to think about how incomplete you are without him/her. Fortunate is the person who finds a soulmate.

True opposites would be horrible, that would mean you hate yourself to love someone else that is completely different than you??? Or from the other point of view someone you want to be like.
