We met and became friends. I still think of him as a friend, but for some reason he thinks I have feelings for him as a boyfriend-girlfriend type of thing. I don't like to date my friends because its weired. My other friends, mostly guys, told me he was usin me and when asked him that question, wanted to know why. well he had one of his friends to text me and say theat they were married and had a baby together. she just called me and said that they made it up because he thought i liked him like that. None opf my other friends cares for him and they don't really know about this. Can I still trust him even after he did that. i like him as a friend and thats all. Please advise.

I had a similar thing happen where a person i thought was a good friend lied and told everyone he had slept with me! I don't talk to him unless i have to which is only coz I'm friends with his sister other then that i don't bother! You truly cant call people who lie about you friends! Cut him off is the best you can do sounds harsh but i don't think he deserves your kindness or you as a friend! Or should i say you dont't deserve a jerk like that as a friend!

This is an acquaintance not a friend.
Friends do not lie to one another about something like this.
I think you should take him off your list of buds and leave him for someone else.
I wouldn't be able to trust anything that came out of his mouth and maybe he likes to spread rumors too. Wouldn't that be a smack in the face.
Ditch him, you don't need friends like that.......

I don't see why you even like him as a friend. Anybody that would go thru that much to just bring drama on you ain't worth it. It isn't a matter of trusting him but him respecting you. If he can't respect you then how is he a friend at all. Don't settle. You lose one crappy friend and a good one always follows.

You have to tell him that you like him as a friend and nothing more, the feeling is just not there. If he would like to remain friends, then he has to stop trying to date you, it's never going to happen. After that it's up to him, if he can't get it through his head, then maintain as little contact as possible.

He sounds a little on the twisted side. I think you should just forget him, and get on with your life. He may have issues in regards to being controlling also. Be careful, he really doesn't sound like he is all there mentally.

Stop the relationship. He's demonstrated immaturity and perhaps even more permanent character defects. Resume only when you are certain he's grown up. In the meantime, find another friend.

I wouldn't trust someone who not only lied, but got someone else involved in the lie. You don't need friends like that. Sounds like you have plenty.
