the folklore is 1 for sorrow 2 for joy 3 for a letter 4 for a boy 5 for silver 6 for gold 7 for a love that's not been told 8 for fate 9 for a friend 10 for happiness with no end.. it is said this is because the crow carry the spirit of the dead.and to count them was a omen of things to come.
