by bus... i think it's national express that does it... it takes quite a while & the bus ticket includes the ferry ride.
I took it back in 2004.
I think it only departs a couple times a day.

I believe if there's train, then check into websites for it and see how tickets can be purchased, or a coach bus.

Euro line buses in most stations (like Victoria coach station) you can buy them overthere.

Id say the bus is the only option there bud.

i would think that walking would be the cheapest way, but then you have to pay for shoes every so often, and all the food, and the stay in hotels, and the hospital bills for blisters on your feet,..... in the end it may just be cheaper to fly
