Both. We'd need the genetic variation. We don't want everyone to have all the traits of either of them. You have to hope that the chance of genetic would lead to a few grandkids that would have the best of both without the worst of either.
Besides, I wouln't want all the tan women or all the redheads to die out, so I have to pick both.
