...and that the Conservatives must must must obey him on issues dealing with global warming without question, because he is the Environment God.

Does he think 9-year-olds care about such issues yet? Or is he trying to brainwash the vulnerable?

I don't really know what you're talking about but now I'm curious.

But it sounds to me like somebody who is just brainwashing/scaring kids into something.I don't think people like that should be allowed to even talk to kids at school. They don't care about it anyways.

Well, when I was a 9 year old,I didn't give a crud about anything that had to do with a bunch of old boring politicians who didn't actually even care about me.I do pay attention now,but that's because I'm older.I do understand better now though, that people are nothing more then pawns in their game.

David Suzuki was ranked as the 5th greatest Canadian of all time in a recent poll and is #1 among those still living. None of the current federal politicians of any party makes the top 100. Suzuki speaks with greater moral authority, and probably more popular support than any of the politicians.

Yes, 9 year olds can and should care about whether they have a future, and their parents should care too. Let David Suzuki make his case and also let his opponents make their case. David Suzuki is speaking from genuine concern about the children's future. Politicians speak out of concern for the next election. I think that even a 9 year old can tell the difference.

I am a Conservative and I helped to elect Prime Minister Harper. I am also a scientist and I know that David Suzuki is right about global warming. The emission targets in Kyoto should be met by Canada, but Canada should not ratify the financial aspects of Kyoto. Harper would be wise to follow Suzuki's good advice to be a good steward of the land.
