The only other person who is justifiably #1 would be Calvin Johnson. If I were the Raiders, I would trade Moss for or pick up a QB (maybe Jeff Garcia... he proved he can still play last year) and draft Johnson. Adrian Peterson has too much of an injury history and LaMont Jordan is a decent player with a good O-Lineman. Joe Thomas is good, but not a superstar OL, and you have to take a future superstar at #1. I would take Russell if I were Oakland, he can throw a deep ball 60 yards running away from the receiver across his body - the guy is INSANE. Moss would start playing (for a little while at least) and Russell is so strong and good at throwing on the run that he hardly even needs an OL. Calvin Johnson would be the other viable option. I think Brady Quinn proves to be the most successful player in this draft - I'm REALLY hoping he falls to Miami, that would be potential greatness right there.
If Oakland feels pressed to fix their OL, they should trade down to about 10th where they can get the second-rated OL (after Thomas) and get a second round pick (in addition to their own) that they can snag a good DT. With their own second-round pick they could pick a WR.

This is a huge potential pratfall for the Raiders espescially now that the Lions are also likely looking at these two. We could be looking at a repeat of drafts like when Drew Bledsoe and Rick Meier came out...or Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf (does anyone else think its funny that the Chargers could have had both Manning bros?).
Prior to the Bronco-Lion trade, I think the pundents had the Lions addressing their o-line first. Now, however, I've heard Quinn mentioned.
Given the choice...I take Quinn. Simply put, I think both Russell and Quinn have the tools, but I get the impression from the combine that Quinn is ready, where as Russell may take some seasoning.

If I was the Raiders I wouldn't take either. Have too many problems to address. I would either pick up a free agent or trade Moss to get my QB. Either that or you better fix that O-Line first. IF I take a QB it is Russell.

I'd take Russell. Quin hasn't impressed me phsically, and charlie did all of his thinking for him. at least russell is a physical specimen and will be able to stay upright and mobile long enough to find moss or porter.

If I were coach I would try and fix my horrible O-Line first because without a better O-Line either QB wouldn't be able to do anything.
