Dos:

Use light and strong materials
Use simplified apparatuses
Test the device many times before the actual project due date
Bring a repair kit to the drop site
Ask if you can help with the drops for extra credit
Don'ts:

Don't overcomplicate the design
Don't use heavy materials if at all possible
Don't restrict your planning time till the last day of the project.

use the masking tape and the sheet of printer paper to make a prachute, it reduces the speed as it increases air resistance. it should be plastic bag, but you don't have any. the straws are to be put at the bottom like a bird nest, the popsiclke stick should be on top of the egg. the string to complete the parachute, if you don't need to use al; the materials, try to not use the popsickle stick, I did this with more tham 10m!

Maybe try to make a little box or "nest" for the egg with the Popsicle sticks, using the straws as padding (with the air, try not to squish them) and then use the string as padding as well. I would use the masking tape to hold everything together. Everything else, try to use as padding to help the egg.

I've done this before but these are some random materials.

Good luck.

Hi Brie this is Rebekah from school :)
This is my dad's user name.

Well I'm doing a box made out of Popsicle sticks and inside diagonal straws to make a cradle. Make a parachute using the paper- fold it into a cone shape and attach it to the contraption with string and tape. Bye!
