The idea isn't that man came directly from a single celled lifeform. It's something more like this.

Note: This is the "sped up" version. In reality there would be millions of years in between the processes. Also note that this is single cell to human, not non-living substance to single cell. That is not evolution but abiogenesis, a different biological study and theory all together.

- life as we know it has come as far as sustaining itself as a single cell
- a portion of single celled life develops to clump together in colonies
- colonies increase in complexity to become simple water based life
- simple life becomes more advanced to cope with the environment and other developing life
- precursors to fish develop
// several million years still in the sea //
- some fish develop dextrous limbs and the ability to filter oxygen from air, becoming amphibious
- amphibions develop into primarily land reptiles, saurapods and monotreme mammals
- climate change depletes reptile and saurapod numbers, some saurapods that developed feathers live longer while mammals prosper due to warm blood and fur coat
- mammals speciate into various forms including ancestral primates, feathered saurapods develop into ancestral avians
- primates speciate into various kinds including bipedal ancestral homanids
- development, including increasing intellect and dexterity, continues upto present day man

Does that sounds so outrageous?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.

Both theories cannot be proven or disproven, so they're really controversial.

Supporting Adam & Eve:
-Where did everything come from, even before the big bang? If people say that we all came from one cell, then where did that one cell come from? And where did what created it come from? ect.
-Many things in this world cannot be explained by science, supporting god and his theory.

Supporting science:
-All of the things that science CAN explain.
-The fact that so many religons have different creation stories raises the question of wiether or not OUR creation story is the right one. If any are correct.

Because each can't be proven 100% I don't worry about it. All that matters is that I'm here and I'm going to make the best of my life. Focus on the future, not the past. Although you'll find there are plenty of people who strongly believe the adam and eve creation story or can provide evidence that evolution is what began creation. Either way, I know I'm here and that's all that matters.

As far as man goes, I do not believe in evolution. I am a firm believer in the Bible. But I do think that different species have evolved to adapt to their placement on this earth. Such as the polar bear as opposed to the brown bear. But I definitely believe we were created by God...starting with Adam and Eve.

Your very smart!! Evolution as the end explanation for all of existance is total crap. To believe that is to say a single cell suddenly appeared out of nowhere LONG ago and has now evolved into everything you see. NOT!!

No I "belief"[sic] in evolution. Why is it hard to accept that over billions of years life slowly changes but it's simple enough to accept that some god up and decided all of sudden to make some people for no reason?

Given that you can't even spell, it's no wonder you haven't the mental wherewithal to grasp the intricacies of Evolutionary theory.

the adam and eve story was an analogy. Some links for you, if you wish to read a different thought:
