Is it necessary to give out all known information during the interview?

If you are sending in any covering letter or CV..... I strongly suggest you run it through a spellchecker... or have someone who understands grammar and structure to cast an eye over it.

Don't automatically give out information without being solicited. You do however want to convey the sense that you have done some research on the company prior to being interviewed.

Make sure to have an answer ready for why you want to work with that company specifically, what challenges you are looking for and some basic knowledge of competitors.

Interviewers don't like when people just run off their mouth like they just read a story on the company somewhere and memorized it, you need to show that you can use that information more constructively (like in school you shouldn't just regurgitate what you are taught but apply the knowledge)
