My daughter became analyzing and writing nicely until now kindergarten too. i chanced on a blended ok-2 type for her. For some activities, the completed type labored jointly, and for others they broke into grade-point communities. the instructor adjusted the communities slightly based on the pupil's awareness, so my daughter ended up analyzing with the 2d graders and dealing on writing and math with the 1st graders. She's been in blended-grade training, working a grade or 2 forward, ever in view that, and he or she's now in a proficient software sooner or later a week besides. you are going to be able to examine with interior reach faculties to work out if any grant blended-grade training. you additionally can see in the journey that your district has a proficient software, and whilst it starts (some do not start up until 2d or third grade). If all else fails, set up a meeting with the kindergarten instructor to debate your concerns and are available up with a plan to maintain your daughter from transforming into bored.

Well first let me say thats EXCELLENT!!
Encourage more reading! Buy lots of books and make a time for reading togerther each night, or once a week if your schedule permits. Get a few more challenging books .. maybe 5th or 6th grade to try out. Also those grade level workbooks, get a 2nd,3rd, or 4th grade level and see if the math and reasoning skills are also at that level.

I'm sure the teacher has some suggestions, depending on where you live. Also, alot of kids can excel in areas in early years, and sometimes average out as they age. Just keep exposing your child to new books, visit book stores, libraries. I had an advanced reader also. She was MADE to read SO much in the third grade by a teacher she grew to hate it, and still does. Now she's 20.

Congratulations to you--you must have had a part in that. I would suggest that you continue giving him access to books--biographies might be interesting to him, or books about a specific subject he likes--trains, ships, whatever. As a caution: his emotions are probably still in kindergarten--don't give him books written for a different group.

Sounds like he is doing fine, encourage him to continue.
