I want to rent a car, i'm 28 years old. I'm traveling here from Mexico, i do have a california drivers licence. However, i haven't received my actual plastic licence. All i have is the temp licence issued by the dmv. It believe it's the same, it just expires in like 2-3 months. I do have my visa and my passport. Can i still rent a car for two weeks? If so, what agency can i rent it at? Thanks for your info.

A temporary CA DMV license will be sufficient if you have other picture ID and the license is current. If you have a Mexican license that should be OK too. Since you are over 25, you shouldn't have any insurance issues, so I think any car rental company will rent you a vehicle.
