Whenever a person brings race up, they are considered a racist, but that should not be the first thing that comes to people’s minds. North America is one of the most racist nations on the Earth. However few are able to admit it. People fail to remember that just a few years (in terms of history 40 years is a few years) there were things called Jim Crow that has later been renamed to racial profiling. A few years ago there was literacy exam and tax poll needed in order to vote (before the voting act) and now in NY they are looking to place another tax on voting. Does anyone see a problem with that The American public has become content in what seems to be curtain racism. Meaning if you can not see it does not exist There is a problem Why are people afraid to discuss this issue Have we been conditioned to believe it is a thing of the past and no longer prevelant in our culture. Please understand sir its not about opposing someone views its a discussing. To address black on black crime, it is simple, you rob, kill or still from those in your neighborhood. Its a social effect. White on white crime, please understand that crime rate is on the rise. Hispanic on Hispanic crime. It is all happening on equal scales. If you live in a town in Delware and your rational make up is 95% white, who is killing and robbing and stealing from the residence the ones that reside there. People do not usually leave out of there comfort zone to commit crime.

I just think or believe that in order for progress to continue we must continue to discuss the inequality in our country. For it to be a melting pot, not much is melting nowadays. Why

North America is not a nation. The United States of America does have race problems. But it is one of the least racist nations in the world. Spend some time in Japan, China, Korea, Mexico, Peru, Austria. You will see some pretty backwards stuff.
And the reason people are afraid to talk about it is because if they say anything that another person does not like they are labeled as racist and communication brakes down at that point. People are afraid to step on toes, and people have their feelings hurt way to quickly for us to have any real dialog.

There is no doubt that racism was prevalent and alive in the past. With that said, we are now in 21st century, and in my own opinion our society is creating a race issue to help itself feel better about the unfairness different people face. If we focus on hardships, economics, family breakdown, education etc, there is no doubt that certain minority groups are effected in a negative way. But what happens when a white (anglo saxon) individual is living below the poverty line, has drug addictions, doesn't work, commits crimes to survive, and has limited education? Well we don't here to much about it. It seems that if people were responsible for themselves, and not just thier ethnicity then the problem would be focused on the individual. Yes religeon, coular, language, traditions make us different from each other, thats a great thing. But if the media and certain social groups keep sensationalizing racism it may never end. The focus must be the individual. To do that will probably take a very long time.

Here's an interesting one for you. The media never comments on how the crime in black neighborhood is almost always a black shooting, robbing, murdering another black. It isn't whites coming in to do the crimes. Why don't you address this also?
The incidents of whites victimizing blacks in hate crimes is horrific but extremely rare, that is why is caused such an outrage.

I'm not afraid to talk about it. I think lots of people avoid it because they don't want the opposition.
