No, I had no warning. I was about to go to bed when it broke. I didn't have any braxton hicks or contractions of any kind, so it was a real surprise.

I have had 4 babies. My water broke at home with only 1, the other 3 I had to have it broken at the hospital. The time it broke at home, I was sound asleep in the middle of the night when I woke up to go to the bathroom. When I rolled over to get out of bed, I felt this warm ooze and thought I had peed. I changed my underwear and laid back down. Contractions started right away. I timed them for about an hour before they became regular and I woke my husband. It was our 3rd baby. I had no warning and no real contractions before my water broke, but I had plenty of Braxton-Hicks contractions with her.

With my first child, my water didn't break until I was already in the hospital bed getting prepped for labor. With my second, they had to use a special hook and break it, so I would say that not every woman has her water break... believe me, I was afraid of it happening in public and I'm glad it didn't! But you're supposed to lose the mucus plug before that happens, so maybe that will give you a sign...

not many women folk's water breaks, a majority could have the nurse or OB do it interior the medical institution. With my first 2 little ones, they did it as quickly as I went into hard artwork and went to the medical institution. With my third son i became sitting at abode with my husband taking section in a action picture. i became laying on the settee with my rear end on his lap and immediately I moist myself. i presumed I had a "accident" yet as I ran to the bathing room it in basic terms stored coming and coming! We called the Dr. and he mentioned my water broke and to get in asap! there have been no signs and indicators, no contractions or something. It in basic terms broke. i did not start up having contractions until approximately 3 hours later. My unfavorable hubby became so soaked and that i felt so undesirable for him, yet he understood. hehe i'm 31 weeks pregnant with twins now, and he retains telling me he is going to stay far off from my rear end as quickly as I hit approximately 35 weeks. LOL good success and Congratulations!

I have 2 kids and my water never broke with either one of them before delivery. my first my water had to be broken by the doctors during delivery and my second one my water broke on its own after being in the delivery room for a few hours after getting my cervix thinned out..only a few percentage of womens water breaks on its own...good luck.

I lost pieces of my mucus plug for about 1 weeks before, and had some contractions for 2 hours before. But nothing different than usual.

I just walked out of the bathroom and felt like I wet myself. lol.

i have had three children and the only time my water has broken by itself was with my last child. nope, no warning just a pop, a bunch of gushes, and a OH S***. we were both asleep when it happened. my husbands feet did not touch the bed as he jumped over it. i have never seen such a mess in my life. it was definetly one of the most unforgettable moments of my life.

I had been contracting for a couple of hours then all of a sudden a gush. Nothing specific gave me a clue that I can remember. Best of luck.

It broke while I was sleeping and I immediately woke up. I had no contractions for about 2 hours, and then they started.

Essentially it's different for everyone, and you can't predict what to expect, so try to enjoy the ride (and take whatever drugs they give you).

hello,
Before the water break you may or may not have contractions. But just before it breaks you may feel some water coming out and also may feel like going to restroom to check it.Once it starts it will not stop.
