no, we need alternatives to incarceration , children and adults included. people who pose physical danger to others should be kept in cages, period. and i support the death penalty. other offenders need a different form of punishment. i don't pretend to have the answers. corrections has become a big business, creating whole communities in prison localities. an economic engine driven by the corrections system. funded by the tax payers. put some one in prison and you teach him to become a crimminal.

i guess it depends, what was the "accident" and how old the child is.

NO. A child the age of 8-9-or 10 are you kidding? what kind of a crime or accident can this kid have to even be considered for prison. If he stole a bag of chips from the store or something like of course he shouldn't be put with adult inmates. That would be crazy.
i guess we still have to know what kind of "accident" has happened.

Show me where something like that has happened. I don't recall it ever happening unless it was some other country.

Sorry but you're going off at nothing. America doesn't put kids in prisons with adults. It bad enough that all the prisoners are all sexually assaulted but with a child, there would be a massive gang rape.

What kind of accident? And what do you consider a child? If the child is a 17 years old who was drunk and wrecked the car and put others lives in danger then yes it is right.

In most cases, I would saw no. There are alway exceptions to everything. Even a deformed child could thrive very well among normal people. It would be a shame to put a deformed child in a prison and have them raised to more mixed up.

No its NOT Right..why would the law think that is right?? For an accident?? If that were the case the prisons would be more crowded then they are now. Isn't that what the Juvenile system is for?
