Depends on their proficiency in English. If your company can afford it, hire an interpreter.
Japanese are very conscientious about ranks. You should find out who is the most senior in the group and match that with one similar from your company. The order of handshaking is also important and that's why the interpreter can help by working with the main contact point of your company, who has all the information. American businessmen tend to shoot off their mouth with no regard of ranks or internal consensus. This is not true with the Japanese. Their person who speaks might not be the most important one.

You might want to hire a consultant. They are very different in what they see as acceptable behavior. For instance, a gift of a VERY pricey American alcohol would be well received, where American would be shocked. They are also very formal and have different ways of paying and receiving compliments. If you are serious about doing GOOD business with them I really do recommend you receive some couching, it is a different ball game. Speaking of ball games.....hosting a round of golf is another expected event, they are seriously into it, just make sure the right guy wins.

The Watchtower Society's ideology is fairly totalistic. I evaluate The Watchtower Society a cult interior the sociological experience (based on the team's unquestionably habit quite than ideals). no longer so advantageous related to the corporation component of issues. The Watchtower Society's worldwide publishing empire and supplies portfolio easily make money, yet i've got not seen any puzzling evidence to signify that those income are used for something different than for the Watchtower Society to strengthen, make investments and perpetuate itself (and pay off newborn abuse sufferers).

Exactly the same way you would welcome a US business group, they are coming to a US setting dont change anything. If you where going to Japan they would do everything in the normal Japanese business manner. If they are going to the US everything should be done in the normal US business manner.

You welcome them by showing respect, no matter where they are from. It would also be wise to research THEIR customs to show that you have some grasp of their culture.
Do not treat them like an American business group but also don't go too far and risk getting something wrong, find a balance.
If you want to be truly successful in life you ALWAYS have to tailor your approach to your audience

Well, this is how they do it in Japan. I suppose you can do the watered-down version of this.
