Cats do have sex but not in the same way as humans but it still works the same way sperm meets egg and forms a baby

like humans? no.
Human beings are the only creatures on planet earth that face each other during intercourse. (although they can obviously have sex in a number of different positions.)
Additionally, human beings have sex for reasons other than simple hormonal drive and have the ability to decide whether or not to do it.
Cats don't have sex because they like each other or because they are in love or because they WANT to have kittens. It is the hormones that drive their instinctual behaviors and they lack the capacity to decide to follow the instinct or resist it.

I've never seen a cat have sex but I have seen dogs and cows...
My cat lays on her back legs wide apart....so it's possible they do have sex or my cat just likes advertising herself.
HOWEVER when she was in heat she'd back her butt up to anything and everything...so I'm going to say they likely do it like most animals. doggy style.
