My newborn LOVES to reach out and grab things, and kick at things, and he gets so excited when they make noise, but I have noticed he likes lights even better.

Obviously he cant play with regular lightup toys because he doesnt sit yet or have good control of his motor skills. He's not quite THAT advanced... lol.

I want him to have that stimulation, but cant find anything else like the kick n play that is flat AND lights up.

Any ideas?

This is the coolest thing ever, I have it and LOVE it :-)
The best part is that it's 5 in 1 so it grows with your child!

I got my son a Fisher Price Ocean Wonder's Aquarium that I hung in his crib. It has buttons that he could touch. It plays soft music (or soft sounds like rain) and lights up, all while the fish swim around. He absolutely loved it. I ended up buying the new version of it for my second child (my son has an older version). I know that the site tells you 12 months and up, but I used it since he was a few months old and I had no problems. It ties securely to the side of the crib, so there is no way they can take if off. Here in Canada, the recommended age for this item is from Birth to 24 months.

I hope that helps!

My daugther was the same when she was younger and still is, shes 6 months now but loves lights, and music. I got her an oceanwonders aquarium bouncy chair, the toys were at feet level so when she kicked them they would make music and light up, she loved it. I also got her the matching swing, and she loved watching the mobile go around and listen to the music. Its hard to find things that they can kick, but if you look hard you can find them.
