Consider the following newspaper headline:

The headline may be misleading because

a) it does not specify what percentage of residents are opposed
b) it does not specify the number of residents surveyed
c) it does not indicate which residents were surveyed
d) all of the above

E) it doesn't matter because it's a headline. The reason for the headline is to give you just enough info so that you go to the 4th page, read the article, and thereby pass the advertisements. You will find the specifics in the article. It's called a teaser, just like at the strip club. If they gave you that info, you wouldn't read the article. As to answering your question-do your own homework.

The News is bad about NOT filling in ALL of the details, I guess they think and maybe it does make better reading for the Public. The Bad Publicity always gets read more over the Good..Go Figure!

a) could be just 50.1% are opposed
b) could have just asked 2 people
c) could have only asked the people whose homes are being destroyed in order to accommodate the new subdivision

all the above cos it is necessary to know how many ppl r opposed n how many ppl ar for it.......secondly it all depends on the number of ppl surveyed cos the percentage depends on the number of ppl......n also u need to know wat kind of ppl rich or poor home or homeless ppl were surveyed.hence d is the best choice
