Electolysis is a procedure where you lay back and allow someone with a thin electro-charged needle to electrify each and every hair one by one in order to kill the roots. They do this by inserting the needle into each hair folicle and zapping the root with electricity. Laser hair removal is said to be alot less painful and way more effective.I dont know as many detailsabout it but one time and the hair is gone for life. With electolysis , it has to be done many times .

Ren is correct about elctrolysis. It "zaps" each hair with a bit of electricity. I have had it done on my face.

Laser removal uses a laser (light beam) to eliminate hair over alarge area. I have not had that doen so I do not have first hand experience.
