A lot of people still have dial up. It is generally a lot cheaper and for people on a limited budget that want the Internet (even with the disadvantages of it's speed) will get dial up. Something is better than nothing.

A lot of people have Dial up still, but its not really recommedded now, as you get the high speed, WIFI now!
You cant really view many websites through dial up. Only one i think would be google, and that would take 4eva

Some of my friends still have dial-up and have asked me not to send them graphics for that reason. I believe there are places where it is not yet technically feasible to get high-speed via phone-lines or cable.

There are still locations near me (within 20 miles) that do not have high-speed capabilities, no cable, no fiber lines, no decent cell phone service, and I'm only 25 miles from a large city. In area's where homes are 1 mile (or more) apart it's not even "in the works" for the major players. Telephone service was mandated to be available in rural area's by the Federal Government. To make it cost effective for the "bell" companies, all of us in more populated areas paid a "surcharge" to offset the "profit loss" in rural area's.

Most'ly it depend's on what you can afford and what is in your area.Phone sevice is all some can get and some not even then.Internet thru cable is the best i think,at least it's faster then any other i seen or heard about.Alot depend's too on how often are you going to use it and what for.Guess a matter of taste and need,and availibility.

I don't have any other choice but to use dial-ip. DSL hasn't come out this far yet. Country living you know?

in middle east...most people still use dial-up in their homes.
