I mean, in films there are explosions, car chases, and fires. I think they should greatly reduce the number of such things, especially as we now have great technology such as CGI. (I love films as much as the next person but there should be a more green way of creating action on screen)

Nothing worse than listening to some Hollywood big-shot spouting off about saving the environment, then driving off in their BMW's, and going back to their mansions with the $10,000 a month power bills. I didn't see any stars drive up in environmentally friendly cars at the Academy Awards.

I'm sure on movie sets there are styrofoam cups and plates everywhere, and the pollution from the effects, or even just the cars they use, is probably hundreds of times more than the average job.

Probably as much as the guy who drives a car and still complains about the film industry polluting the air. I'm sure you are concerned as many are. I just wish some people who wail too much about it would take a look at how they are polluting the air. A woman i knew in the neighbourhood was complaining about this issue. I said to her "But its ok for you to pack on a can of hairspray everyday?" She zipped up and never mentioned it again. I'm sure the ones that work in this industry want to make changes as well because it effects them too.
Take care.

They say the worst Hollywood disaster was war or boat movies.
They used to pour oil or gas in water (a pond, lake The freakin ocean) and light it on fire so next time you watch the old titanic 1953 or 1943 remember to enjoy it cause it didn't come cheap.

Probably quite a bit; ironic, considering that many of the eco-freakos are Hollywood actors. Hypocrisy, anyone?
