because men have used there genitals to be lude, rude and suggestive. animals don't do that. you can blame all the perverts for that one.
PS. I have never had a horse shake his willy at me and make lude suggestions of putting it some place not welcomed. nor have I ever seen any other animal but a human masterbate at a person making suggestive motions with his tongue. have you? didn't think so. I rest my case.
if your wondering if that happened to me? the answer is yes. onces in a walmart parking lot & the other time was in a mall. and yes, I did report them.

you're strange! I don't laugh when I see male animals penises. I don't stare at a dog peeing by a tree. Most animals have fur and when they are on all 4 legs, their privates are mostly out of view. Seeing a male animals penis doesn't sexually excite me. Do men get turned on while looking at cows' utters or catss nipples? I doubt it. Seeing humans naked is a personal thing. Humans are sexual beings, animals only mate to reproduce. They go into heat for reproduction reasons only. They don't go around having casual sex with other animals. Humans can be sexually excited by just looking a clothed person or holding hands or a soft kiss.
Look at Muslim men. They can't control themselves sexually so instead of trying self-control, they force Muslim to cover their ankles, wrists, shoulders, neck and even faces and eyes. They may kill a Muslim who shows too much skin rather than killing the Muslim man that gets a ***** while looking at her.
Animals don't get sexually excited every day, every hour, they go into heat once a month. And most humans don't get excited seeing an animal's gentials. I'll say it again, you are strange asking this question.

I've never made it a habit to walk around checking out animal genitals. Is it a fascinating hobby?

Because religious morality dictated that we should be ashamed of our bodies and so to expose them is considered a shameful act.
Notice however that among indigenous peoples of the rainforests, whose contact with (missionaries) "civilised" society is limited, the same concerns do not apply.

Because our society has taught us that it is wrong to see people naked in public.

God wants us to be modest. He told Adam and Eve to put some clothes on. People are aware of their differences!! Hmmm, good question!
