Having lived in Michigan for my whole life I would have to speculate that the National Debt would be easier to repair.
Of course, Bill Ford could always sell the team to the DeVos family and DIckie boy run the team. He was willing to waste 30+ million on a political campaign. Imagine what he could pony up if he rallied behind a worthy cause - THE LIONS!!!
Lions Suck...... It's part of Michigan's heritage!

The Detroit Lions. They are a much smaller project to tackle. The owners of the Lions and upper management need to look at where they repeatedly failed last season and address them with an open pocketbook like Steinbrenner does with the Yankees. This way they could get the talent and re-ignite the flame they had from the Barry Sanders years. The Federal deficit is going to grow as long as we have George Bush in office and he likes fighting a war that should not exist.

I go Federal Debt. The lions darft a Wideout with every pick so that makes thing easy (not) I mean they just got a new young back and a young OT so maybe looks bright on that side But no one wants to be a part of the lions anymore. it is a sad sad story

The Lions. Get a better management and they might be fixed. There is no way to get Congress to actually pay down/off the debt at the rate it is now. What they were supposedly paying down before was just paying all the interest so it didn't accumulate.

The DEBT just increase taxes and collect the money owed to us by other countries. The Lions need new management and start over, For goodness sakes they have been a joke ever since Barry Sanders left.

easy: the lions...they are a very talented, but very young (immature) team. they were, in my opinion, the best 3-win team in a long long time. i think with their recent trade (acquiring a good OT and RB from Denver for Dre Bly), they have met two of their more pressing needs--the offensive line was awful, and with Kevin Jones hurting his leg as bad as he did, they need a back to take his place if he can't come back. Should he heal up nicely, they are in position to go to the very popular and successful two-back system. As for the draft, I think they should look at either Brady Quinn or JaMarcus Russell, whichever is left. They should draft him and let him learn behind Kitna for a couple years like Carson Palmer did in Cincy. I think they should address their defensive needs in the later rounds, as their offense is pretty good, and losing Bly could be a big hit to them.

The Lions suck, but so do a lot of teams in the NFL. Being realistic, I would have to say the Lions.
