My fiance had the cadillac converter cut from under his truck, it's something that has been happening in our area for months. They are sold to scrap yards for money.
It was cut out where he works, in the parking lot!!! I couldn't believe anyone would do that. Is there anyway we could prevent this from happening again???

Report it to the cops. Install an alarm on your car.

I would put a reliable car alarm on the vehicle, and file a police report. But how do you know the parts are being sold to the scrap yards? If you have any evidence, then the police can make a case.

Wow. That's different. theres not much you can do about the theft, except maybe have the brackets welded to the truck, that might slow them down a little. It will a least cause them to have to use power tools to steal it. I live in WV, and I thought I'd heard of everything, but that's a new one, even for here. These folks out here even try to steal wire from the electric company, a couple of them got electrocuted last week, trying to steal wire from a large transfer station. Caused a significant number of people to be out of electric for a day, while they fixed it, after it caught on fire.

Dang, I mean, thats just wrong. Anyway, to be honest, I cant think of anything really you can do, no real way to protect parts like that, probably why its been happeneing in your area. My advice is to contact the Police Department and try to push for something more to be done about the occurances. Good luck, and just hope they dont go for the starter or the batteries next, lol.
