I think it's wonderful. For those who say "why not adopt American children" I say, all children need a home. For Angelina and Brad, this is where thier hearts were led just like any other family making a PERSONAL adoption choice. Building a family through adoption seems to really anger some people, and why is that? Nobody says "Hey, you got pregnant, why did you do that? as if it's up for a vote. I get tired of hearing people criticize people for their adoption choices when they have no intention of adopting a child themselves.
There are pros and cons to both the US foster/adopt system, and international adoptions... but the bottom line is, all of the children need a family.
I would much rather read about a celebrity adopting than what ridiculous amount of money they spent on their shoes, cars, or cribs.
For all those who criticize international adoptions, I say. .. "How many children will you adopt?"

I hope it is an older child and not another baby because Zahara is only 2 and Shiloh is not even a 1 yet and it is extremely hard to juggle 3 little ones at the same time. She said she wants her children to be able to relate to each other, in others words that they can see themselves in each other. So Maddox will be able to connect with this Vietnamese child, they will probably adopt another African baby so Zahara will have someone she can connect with. I don't think they will adopt a Caucasian baby or even have another biological because she said Shiloh already has me and Brad to relate to. To me this will make Maddox and this other child compete with each other because Madd was the 1st and had his special place in the family as the big brother and only Asian but now he has competition. If Shiloh is the only biological baby all of the other children might hold some resentment towards her because she will be the only one that looks like Angie and Brad and has the same DNA as them. Maybe I am just over reacting, hopefully everything will work out for the best.

I think it is beautiful, and I wish more people would look at adoption. There are so many children in the world whose only dream is to have a family, that it makes me sad. I am adopted, and I will consider adopting when I have the means to do so. I feel that some people are so narrow minded that the only children that they would ever consider "theirs" would be blood related. I love my mom and dad like any daughter would love her mom and dad, and we are of no blood relation at all. Home is where the heart is, and there are so many children that need homes. Angelina is a beautiful person for opening her heart like this, she is an inspiration.

Adoption is a great way to help children that do not have a home, but people need to adopt children here in America. There are so many wonderful, loving children right here that need love and a family. Why not them?

She's a great, very-publicized humanitarian and adoption is a huge step, even though she has the assets to take care of as many kids as she wants. God bless her.

But yea, like everyone else said, what's wrong with adopting kids right here in America? Teaching each of her kids about different cultures is a great way to raise them all, but that's no reason to overlook kids who are just as desperate for parents here.

i think thats great as well. and angelina jolie is one celebrity that i actually respect. shes not only opening her home to children in need, but with her you can be sure that the child will be raised very well and not grow up to be on drugs and eventually get a reality show on vh1 or something.

It's too bad she doesn't adopt any children from the USA,where she and Brad made all of their money, it seems she doesn't think American children are good enough to adopt.

She has the money, I say go for it. Her children seem to well taken care of and happy. Personally, I think she and Brad ought to have another one. Shiloh is beautiful.

I think it is wonderful that she is able to give underprivileged children a better chance in life!
I hope she doesn't forget how many starving and poor children we have right here in the US!
