Sorry to the people who have a Myspace acct. but I can not stand that website. bad things about it are all over the news. Plus why don't you people read a book or go on a hike or just get active.

I am 33 and my grown stepdaughters all have myspace and talked me into getting a site there. At first I was scared from all the news reports, but once I became educated it is fun.
I have found and keep intouch with highschool pals, family around the country and my friends. As long as you are educated about it, myspace can be a great networking site.
I also run 3 miles a day, workout at Curves three times a week and have a family of 2 kids plus stepchildren, It is not a matter of getting a life, it is about priorities, maturity and education.
Parents need to monitor their kids internet use and make sure they stay on track.

I agree that MySpace is evil! I dont have a myspace acct but my sis does and it really bothers me that they have a 'top friends' part thing! No wonder people's confidence and self-esteem are so low these days.

MySpace is for teenagers and desperate perverted men trying to hook-up with teenagers. It's a disgusting display over there. I do not allow it in my home by any of my kids, not even the oldest who is 17. Meet people on your own! Get out there and be friendly. And most importantly.....find someone your own age, not your daughters! ugh!!

i dont hate it
everything over the news is because people are stupid & accept friend requests from people they dont know personally. it's not the website. everyone judges the site but its only the people & how they ACT that causes bad things to happen.

its not bad its safe you can deny people or, just talk the people that go to your school just dont do anything stupid like give information out. The only reason people get hurt is when they give out personal information! plus its not addicting i havent been on in a 4 weeks.! i get on like every moth once...

I hate it, but I love it. I want to cancle my account, but I have found so many of my highschool friends on there and it is free unlike classmates.com and reunion.com
