because he simply doesn't care. he is blinded by his own agenda...and that's not taking care of the people of this country. (my opinion - and one shared by many, many, many people)

Why the the people of N.O. reelect a totally unqualified mayor and a criminal, William Jefferson as their representative. No, they don't want to take any responsibility for their actions, decisions. Simply find someone to blame. This is getting a little old. Get Jefferson down there. Maybe he can collect more money to hide in his freezer.

He apparently wasn't worrying about his district before Katrina. He was too busy taking bribes.

There can be no help when all you do is complain and play the blame game. Too bad that lunacy gets corrupt people reelected to office.

Go kick back with your own slovenly ways, drink your booze, take your drugs and keep spewing forth your ignorance. Where is all the money handed out fraudulantly from more crooks.

New Orleans was not the only place hit by Katrina. The Mississippi gulf coast was devastated. The damage was much greater there than in New Orleans. Yet it is all about New Orleans. Why? The answer is those in Mississippi are just getting on with it, no screaming about "No one is helping me'. New Orleans won't accept any responsibility, they even reelected Nagin as mayor after his disastrous showing. He couldn't even declare the mandatory evacuation until it was too late and he left well before anything happened.

The real questions Liberal hacks should be asking are why is New Orelans the only city who 1. Was totally not prepared for the disaster having a. The city was in a known hurricane impact zone. b. they were given plenty of warning for decades about the levies being insufficient. c. They had plenty of warning before this particular storm. 2. Who has been unable or unwilling to fully recover as compared to other cities who sustained far more damage from far larger more devastating storms. 3. Why they keep sitting on their lazy Blk behinds and waiting for the government to do EVERYTHING for them instead of getting up off their lazy Blk behinds and doing some work to rebuild the city. 4. Why the government has given 23 times more money and aid to this city and its inhabitants than any other in recorded history and its been wasted on hookers, parties, booze, jewelry, Hummers, and other mateiral wastes, and then those same inhabitants have the gall to sit there and say when is help arriving, why are we being ignored because we're black. What a racist CROCK!! Take your anti-Bush rhetoric and plant it where no sun dare to shine.

Always looking for a handout!!! Sickening!

Let me tell you something. During the great flood of 1993 in the midwest levees were destroyed leaving thousands and thousands without homes, power, water, or sanitation for months. Many people lost everything there families had worked for since they settled there back in the 1800's.

Bill Clinton was President then and the Federal Government did very little to help this situation. Fema fed people who were working on sandbagging and helped some with the cost's of sandbagging, but state and local government stepped up, AS WELL AS LOCAL CITIZENS, who came in droves to help sandbag, payed out of there own pockets to help feed those working, used there own boats and gas to get people up and down the rivers and put people up in there homes until they could get back on there feet!

Almost every person in those affected counties pitched in in some way to help out, whether it was through hard labor, finances, food preperation, etc...

Those people down in Lousiana are sitting on there rears, complaining, saying help me, help me, instead of saying what can I do to move this thing along!!!!!!

I'm embarrassed as much by them, as by the way the government responded and I think the President being from Texas that has an independent can-do attitude expects the citizens in Lousianna to get up off there rears and help out as well as being helped.

BEING HELPED DOES NOT MEAN BEING HELPLESS!!! And those people are helpless because there lazy!

Why haven't the people of N.O. at least cleaned up the damage!
This country is not a free handout.... take care of yourself. It's a disgrace to see that whole areas are untouched since the hurricane.
