How can i convince him to go to a doctor?

my friend accidentally got some gasoline in his ear. he sayds it hurts like hell yet he refuses to to see a doctor. he says he couldnt miss work last night because he's had too many absences and his truck needs to go in the shop. had that been me no matter what i wouldve rushed to the er. maybe his boss would understand. why must certain people be so bullheaded?

If his main reason for not going is because of work, find an after hours clinic for him to go to. If people are in that much pain, they usually go to the Dr. because they just can't take it any longer. Maybe he's scared and he doesn't want you to know.
