If it's wrong for kids to make fun of other kids who don't necessarily fit in, then why isn't it wrong for adults to make fun of other adults who don't fit in? The term "Jacko" seems so hurtful and mean, yet journalist seem to use the term relentlessly when speaking of Michael Jackson.

I agree. I think it is foolish for adults to try the "do as I say, not as I do" approach to parenting. If we want to raise a nation of respectful, kind people, we have a lot of changing to do - and I think starting with the media is a great place to start.

Peace!

Those adults were probably the kind of kids in school that did make fun of other kids for any little thing they could find! And the term Wacko Jacko is a hurtful term and that's why they use it! The so called journalists who use that term are not really journalists because they are supposed to be open minded and not give their own personal opinions! The people who use the term are just jealous of Michael's success and talents! Just imagine how his poor mother feels when she has to hear those bad things being said about her son!

Jacko is just a short version they made for his name instead of saying whacko Jackson they came up with Wacko Jacko in terms of all of his strange antics and behaviors but kids and children are one thing that Michael is fond of and we all know that, I mean what kind of guy hangs his baby out of a two story window over the balcony in front of the media???

The term is hurtful and mean but I think they mean it when it is said to a child. Michael is approaching 50 and has done strange things for years. His kids go out in public under supervision and the only thing you see of them is their eyes. He calls his younger son Blanket when you know that name is hurtful. He appears on a balcony with the baby and he sticks the baby on the other side of the railing. The baby's body is covered with a blanket except for his feet. Babies can sense fear and you know that baby was scared when he couldn't feel anything. And, don't forget all of those countless plastic surgeries. There was nothing wrong with his looks during his early solo career but now he has been seen in public wearing one of those masks that protect your nose if you are mowing grass and you have allergies. I don't even think he would even know how to start a riding lawn mower much less a push mower.

The last song by Michael that I liked was Man In The Mirror.

This man had children (that were not his) over for sleepovers! I didn't say men having other men, and nor did I say children having other children over for sleepovers! That isn't normal behavior. He has been accused of sexual abuse twice, they we know of. He walks around wearing a mask and his children wear masks as well. He dangled his in fact child over a balcony. He lived in a home called Neverland. Seriously Wacko Jacko suits him just fine. He deserves to be made fun of, he is flippin' weird!

Don't really see a question here, but my comment in answer to your comment is: Wacko rhymes with Jacko which (in case you didn't catch it) is short for Jackson. And, for me at least, it seems to be quite a fitting nickname.

Mean kids grow up to be assholes. This world is full of them. People dont think about their actions. All you can do is strive to be a good person. Dont worry about what others do with their live. As much as you wish for things to be different dont hold your breath waiting for it to happen. Sorry to be so negative. It's just that way.

well people seem to be very hurtful when they are scared of abnormality. and lets just admit it Michael Jackson is a little out there, that does not mean it's a bad thing, it's just society's tendacy, it's the way it will always be, but it's people like us that relize it's composed of stupidity and imaturity.

I agree.. like Michael is one of the nicest people.. and his brother gave him a better reputation in the BB house. Infact the Whole Jackson clan are lovely people. Just because he puts so much effort and passion into his performances (the grabbing of the &%^&( and the moonwalk..lol) doesn't necessarily mean he's wacky, he's just a different person when it comes to pleasing people on stage.
