Ok, here are my thoughts on this and no offense to anyone, black, green, purple or otherwise. I live in a part of the US where although Mexican Americans are considered the minority it is my race, White(and I do not take offense to be calling White rather than European American) that are the minority. But who cares! In my mind I don't see color, I see people. Some good, some bad but all still people. And yes, I agree we as a nation need to 'try' and put race aside and just accept one another as people, with no CATEGORIES! Everything we say is so 'oooo, that's not politically correct' .....um, why not? Who makes the rules? When we speak of someone why do we feel the need to add things like 'you know, that black guy with the blue car'??? What relevance does the 'black guy' part hold? None! We should all try to look past race and just be proud to be Americans! Be proud of the fact that we are free.

Peace!
Tori

what's wrong with being proud of where your from? (For ex. proud that you are Mexican, or African, or Italian.). Whats wrong with having to check off a box saying whether your caucasian or whatever. It's not like its racist to ask that.

i guess some folks either can't afford to live in one hood so they stay where they are, and i guess some people just don't want to be around some folks.

As long as people keep believing they are separated and keep asking this question, they will forever be separated.
