I mean really, no offense gals. As Darwin has it everything must have a survival reason. Why did god create women beatiful. There MUST be a reason related to our species survival.Nature must have decided that living with a woman is so difficult and their behaviour so unattractive that if it weren't for their beauty and the men's ingrained thirst for sexual pleasure our species would have done extinct within just a few years.otherwise what survival value does it have?and remember that everything does have a reason for survival of the species, from the number of fingers in your hands to the shape of your eyes. Maybe as I said if it weren't for their attraction and beauty, men wouldn't want to have anything to do with them and as a result there would be no more humans.what do you think?

I think it works both ways. Women are attracted to men just as men are attracted to women.. and the attraction goes way deeper than just beauty. The can be attracted to their stance, voice, attitude, smell, conversation, body or even their energy.

you need to study up on your evolutionary biology because it's now the consensus that not everything has a reason for survival of the species. First, evolution does not happen on a species level. what's passed is not what helps the species survive it's what helps the individual survive long enough to procreate). Second, a lot of things are passed on completely by accident having no survival value whatsoever.

While in general it's ok to think in terms of how something helps survival until reproduction it could easily also lead down wrong avenues.

In answer to your question, the question is posed wrong. That is, one doesn't have to suggest that men wouldn't get along with women if not for the sexual aspect to make sense of sexual attraction. one can simply say that men have evolved to find certain types of features in women beautiful, and women have evolved generally to look a certain way to generally fit that. Introducing the psychological hypothesis that men would otherwise not like women is unneccesary to answer the fundamental question of the evolution of sexual preference.

I'd like to hammer this point home, all that is required for sexual preference to have evolved the way it did was for there to be a highly increased survival-to-procreation for individuals that are attracted to the opposite sex (since if you're not attracted you won't procreate). that's it. that's all that's required. any point one makes about women being difficult or behaviorally unattractive to men is a logically seperate point. but the way you phrase the question you make it seem like it's all just one point. it's not.

As badly put as your premise is, there is some truth to it. The truth is that human beings behave just like every other animal in that we are also driven by the "urge" to propagate the species.

Physical attraction is what brings men and women together because if a woman has certain characteristics eg large breasts, a trim body and a pleasing face then she is identified as a more superior mate because she bears all the hallmarks of superior genes needed to propogate the species. We are all about propagating the species and that is the underlying factor in the science of physical attraction btw men and women. We don't walk around saying these things but that is the interpretation received by our bodies.

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. In nature it is the male that has to win the female by his beauty or strength.

Living with a woman isn't difficult - men just don't know how and are too lazy to figure it out. If you think women's behavior is unattractive, please explain to me how attractive a man is when he is watching football, stuffing his face with beer and snacks, scratching his scrotum, and sitting with his belly sticking out. How attractive is it to visit a man who has filthy socks and clothing lying around, food all over the kitchen and on dishes that have been there at least a week, laundry being done by simply turning their underwear inside out.

Men typically have wanted women so they could have regular sex and have someone to clean their house and do their laundry.

Women have to put up with men who think they are gifts to the world, when all they want is to be cared for.

Men really aren't attracted to beautiful women - they see a beautiful woman and the men think that they themselves are so wonderfully desirable that they want the woman to choose them. It's all about the man's ego, if they win a beautiful woman then they must be something really great.

And that my friend is reality.

I think that if you are talking about beauty being the reason for survival of a species, there are plenty of animal species where the male is the "beauty" and the female is plain (ie, lions, peacocks).

And, even ugly women get laid.

So your theory doesn't hold.

Beauty is one skin deep, and as the age process go on, we become less atrractive. (That includes everybody.) I think are here for man's comfort. Think about it; You slave your butt to the ground for 8 or 9 hours. Then (Should you have a good woman) When you get home, She's there to care and comfort you. She makes you feel the beauty inside of her, not on top, because that is what a woman is about. She knows with you, you will protect and even go to crazy lengths for her. And you know with her, she will always be a caretaker, and a loving companion.

But there seem to be a lot of ugly people out there... i guess that's why girls put up pictures of Johnny Depp in their lockers.... if there were no men like that, we'd all be lesbians.

Who knows what is beneath the surface of that beauty, the beauty of the soul is what really counts!

no, women were made beautiful so that they will glory in themselves, and feel so strong that they can put up with children and men!

In other words you are saying, if women didn't have female sex organs, there would be a bounty on their heads.
