I'm only wondering out of curiousity. Talking about labor and how it feels like menstrual cramps.. yadayada... anyway, about 2 years ago, a friend and i went to the beach... I get horrible cramps basically right before i start - no more than an hour before i start... and I got the cramps when we were almost there. I dropped her off and went to a gas station to get some aleve (only thing that really helps.) I was in so much pain, I parked the car in front of the door to the gas station, left my car door wide open, and apparantly left my credit card in the store.
When I got to the beach I went to the bathroom, and took out the tampon because it was SO painful. I sat in the stall with my legs up on the door just crying because the pain was so bad. these cramps were fading in and out, (like contractions would) I don't remember if there was any chance i could have been preggers, but does that sound like a miscarriage? I also was bleeding very heavy and i usually have light periods.

I always thought it was just the heat that made them worse... because I had never started outside in the sun like that..

A miscarriage, also called spontaneous abortion, is the spontaneous ending of a pregnancy before the fetus is mature enough to survive outside the uterus. About one-third of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, most often before a woman misses a menstrual period or even knows she is pregnant.
The above was taken from:http://www.clevelandclinic.org/health/health-info/docs/2700/2796.asp?index=9688
I have read stats that the majority of woman have had a miscarraige and never even knew. It is entirely possible.
Studies have found that 30 to 50 percent of fertilized eggs are lost before a woman finds out she's pregnant, because they happen so early that she goes on to get her period about on time.
Taken from:
http://www.babycenter.com/refcap/pregnancy/pregcomplications/252.html
You may also have abdominal pain, which usually begins after you first have some bleeding. It may feel crampy or persistent, mild or sharp, or may feel more like low back pain or pelvic pressure. If you have both bleeding and pain, the chances of your pregnancy continuing are much lower.
Taken from:http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/miscarriage.html
Miscarriage symptoms
The most common symptom is vaginal bleeding, which can range from light spotting to heavier than a period. You may see blood clots, brown discharge or other tissue that is not clearly identifiable. Sometimes a sac-like structure is seen.
Often there is cramping, with pelvic or back-pain. You may find that the usual symptoms of pregnancy, such as breast tenderness, feeling sick and having to pass urine more frequently than usual, stop unexpectedly.

Sounds painful, I'm sorry to hear that, i was clutching my stomach imagining what that could have felt like, to say that you were not having a baby.
Well it sounds like a miscarriage, but depend on how your body is then it could have been horror cramps. Someone close to had a miscarriage and she said besides the heavy flow of blood she had meaty substances coming out of her. Sorry to be so descriptive but if it was a miscarriage you will need to go to the doctor cause dead baby or dead fetus being left inside can kill you. But u might want to go to the doctor cause i can't really just diagnose you. Just wanted to tell you cases i have known of. And contractions take your breath. Its like you can't breath when they hit. that damn painful. I hope you didn't have a miscarriage though.

you're hectic too plenty too quickly, the receptionist probable had 2 calls waiting in line and somebody status on the table, she does no longer have time to sound worried and besides she has probable heard it a million situations. Miscarriages are very common, i understand countless women who've had them - my sister secure and that i'm somewhat advantageous I had an exceptionally early one myself. Stressing approximately it is going to positioned further stress on your strategies and physique, bypass and notice the wellbeing care provider and then make sure the region after that. The hormones you have at the instant are somewhat time-honored and might make you sense depressing and prefer going to the rest room each and every hour. that's in simple terms the start, being pregnant isn't consistently a cushty or uncomplicated subject - in simple terms try to take it uncomplicated and understand that maximum women bypass by way of what you're dealing with. save your chin up! The puzzling stuff starts off while the toddler is born!

Honey if you thought you had a mc you should have went immediately to the ER. I have had several miscarriages in my life time, some have been painful. If their was a lot of bloodclots in the period you must likely had a mc. Just for you to know in future cases, women who have mc can also have hemorrhage and BLEED TO DEATH!!!! if you ever think you are having a mc go to the doc. Also you should tell you gyno your experience, it could have been other things, such as a cyst that ruptured!

If you bled so much that you had to change your pad every 2 hours or sooner, it was possibly a miscarriage. If it was just a heavy period, don't worry so much. Hurting that bad, you should have gone to the doctor to get checked out. If you have anything else like that happen, go see your doctor.

You could have but I doubt it....sounds like you just had some severe cramps....cramps and pain that come with miscarriage do not fade in and out like normal contractions.

If you are concerned and you do get pregnant, perhaps you should let your physician know right away about that to assuage your worries or at least take preventitive measures from such a horrible thing happening. Good luck. Sounds like it was quite frightening.

If you feel this happening again, I would suggest you switch to a heavier pad. Try Bun in the Oven Bye Bye brand.
