If so how does it work. I know the more traffic I get the better, but how does that equate to money?

Once you have high traffic you get sponsors. They will advertise since you have lots of people reading/subscribing. Go look at other blogs, look at their sponsors. If you do a baby blog that is all about babies then you would want to talk to formula & diaper companies.

Yes you can make money blogging for dollars. You can promote your own products or have a content site with ads placed on it or you can promote affiliate products on your site.or if you have your own domain website you can promote it from your Blog.And many more ways you can make money with a blog.
