There are a few ways to tell...amNiotic fluid does not smell like urine..it has a slightly sweetish smell (if not infected or meconium stained). Also you can call your doc or hospital and they have a paper strip that they can swab over your vaginal area. If the strip reacts then it is amniotic fluid. But you want to make sure b/c if it is then your doc will want the baby delivered within 48 hours to avoid infection. Do not take a bath or have sex until you know if it's fluid or not ( shower is OK).

I am not a doctor, i just wanted to tell you Good Luck. But if you don't have a mucus plug it could be mucus leaking out. The baby is pressing down can cuase the mucus to come out if you don't have a mucus plug. Be expecting a baby in a day or 2. :-) When i went to the doctor i was 41 weeks and they had to break my water and i still had my mucus plug at 41 weeks, so i'm sure the baby is just ready so see her/his mommy.

I would certainly prepare myself for giving birth. If those cramps come closer than every 10 minutes go to the hospital at once. You are leaking amniotoc fluid: although the amniotic sac seems whole, this is not a good situation to perdure a long time. See your OB/GYN and see what he advises.

It is quite possible that you do have a leak in your amniotic fluid sack, BUT don't freak out that is perfectly natural. I have 7 children and I had that happen to me at least three times. This is just nature telling you that you are getting ready to give birth to a beautiful new baby. So relax while you can and enjoy.

Contact your doctor immediatly. I had a small, high leak that would gush when I sat up. Due to my ambioltic fluid levels being low my whole pregnancy the told me to go to the hospital right away. My fluid had blood mixed in and was pink in color at first.

it is probably your water if you call the Dr they will tell you to come in and stick a piece of paper in you to check it if is fluid. Easy test. That is what they did for me. If the fluid is leaking you need to deliver the baby. I don't know that it is supposed to be yellow. Call the Dr's office asap. it's time to get that baby out.

that's probable discharge, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it does no longer harm to bypass to the scientific institution and have them try it to make advantageous it is not amniotic fluid. i presumed my water broke as quickly as and it wasn't. while my water did smash (on that's own with the help of how) there replaced into no question approximately it. I had to run to the bathing room with a towel between my legs. have faith me, if it did smash you probable does no longer be thinking if it did...you could realize it. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, you're extra effective save then sorry and that's achievable, so which you call your wellbeing care provider's place of work and enable them to understand approximately it. they'll probable have you ever return in to the scientific institution to make sure to work out whether that's amniotic fluid. solid luck.
