Married, 2 small kids, working FT. Need a makeup regimen that is quick and easy, without lots of components. ie. items that do double duty. Saw Bare Minerals commercial and am wondering if it and others like it meet the requirements. Like a polished not overly done look. My skin is fair toned, no acne but some red areas (around nose etc).

Help?

I'm a pretty simple person when it comes to makeup.. im a full time student and i work full time.. so im on the go as you are. I use bare minerals.. and i recommend anyone to use it. Its light, and really gives you the fresh beautiful skin look.. Theres maybe 2-3 steps and your done. Its very light and I havent had any irritation problems with it esp for my sensitive skin. I started to get compliments about my skin after I started using it. Try it out, you should buy the kit and it has everything you need. (cheaper then buying those items separately)

I absolutely love Bare Escentuals. Natural looking and stays on. Also, does not contain any preservatives, fillers or waxes.

I too am fair skinned and have red around the sides of my nose. The foundation, eye makeup, liner shadows, mineral veil, EVERYTHING is wonderful. I also like Philosophy Airbrush Foundation too. I use most everything they have and would never consider changing to anything else.

Check out QVC, they have a great selection of Bare Escentuals (and videos of how to apply). You can use for 30 days and return if you do not like it. Also, QVC has special sets that you can't find anywhere else and the have the best prices. (believe me...I'm a bargain shopper!). Sephora also carries Bare Escentuals, so if you have one near you, you could try it. There are also BE stores that have all of their products too. Just keep in mind, only QVC has the special sets for great prices...and a 30 money back guarantee.

Good luck and have fun!

As far as looking for a good foundation to add to your beauty regimen, this is no less difficult than searching for the Holy Grail! Let's just say that I have tried many foundations. Honestly, I have never been too impressed with the Bare Minerals line, but it seems that there are people who swear by it, so this might work for you too. Here are two full-proof foundations that I have finally found to work:

1) Almay Smart Shade Make-up --- You can buy this at the grocery store. It actually adjusts to the tone of your skin.

2) Prescriptives Traceless--- You will have to go to a department store to pick this one up, but it is worth it. It also consistently wins on Allure Magazine's "Best Of" list.

Mineral makeup!!! it is soooo easy and looks good. My favorite is everyday minerals. It is very reasonably priced compared to other brands. You can order a free sample kit for cost of shipping (3.50) and let me tell you its great! PLUS you can keep ordering free samples until you find what you love (colors etc)
I tried sheer cover, bare escentuals, signature minerals....none worked like this brand. You swirl a brush, tap and then apply in circles...a min for lightish coverage or apply 2 times for a little more coverage. I use the foundation (not at all sticky, lasts all day, never shiny), an all over face brightener (light pink- eyes, cheeks, etc) a little dab of blush...2 seconds, swipe on mascara and I GO! it takes me 5 mins tops for a normal day. PLUS you can really vamp it up for dinner or a night out or anything. Just use a few layers, add more blush, you can get the eyeshadows for 2.50, use an angled brush to put on a subtle eyeliner (use any eye shadow). I love them and I have a hard time with make up. ie: takes too long at 5 am, gets shiny all day and have to blot, looks terrible for my skin tone, etc) This stuff, you find a color close to your skin tone and it just blends right in and looks like yo have perfect skin. PLUS they have four different formulas...one for dry, one for combo, one for oily, one for greater coverage. I would try it! If you love it, you can get full sizes for 12 dollars, 2 dollar colors etc. It lasts forever and never goes bad, I literally sleep in it sometimes and have nooo skin problems...ie: a night trying to be sexy for the fiance :)

Go to Onyasorganics.com. Buy her cream base makeup. It is on sale for $15 and it is fabulous and it will not hurt your skin. All natural and certified organic. Wash your face with a great face wash. Go to greenridgeherbals.com. Pat dry. Use a little of Onyas cream base makeup and blend. Neutral eyeshadow (optional) Line your eyelids with a brown/black or navy soft eyeliner, a little mascara (Maybelline, Avon or Covergirl) . Then use a soft colored blush peachy/pink (any brand), lip liner (Revlon) and then a beautiful lip gloss in a peachy/pink and you are set to go. Should take no more than 10 minutes.

first of all, you're for sure rather lovable so which you're off to a great commence. i could advise mineral beginning and blush just to decrease shine. you may get them at Wal Mart and mutually as they are not great decrease priced, they final an prolonged time. they are powder so which you're no longer smearing liquid on your pores and skin and clogging your pores. to your eyes, basically %. a impartial shade (attempt crimson chiffon by skill of conceal lady). in case you decide on for smokey, upload a darker shade on your crease yet do no longer bypass loopy. a number of those women interior the mall look basically a splash like drag queens. besides, combination it with the crimson shade. while your eyes are open, you will no longer see most of the dark shade. attempt some brown eyeliner (nevertheless no longer as heavily utilized because of the fact the girl on your photograph) and use some white eyeshadow to mute the lining. Mascara is important because it makes your eyes pop. Lip gloss or chap stick are marvelous ending touches too. clothing are a distinctive tale. user-friendly denims and t-shirts could properly be dressed up with jewelry and intense heels! good success!

Yea, Bare Minerals is a good product line. But even though the commerical sucked me in to buying it, i still don't use it! ( I just don't like ANY kind of foundation on my skin... ) Anyways, for work-make-up, just use: concealer for red spots or any blemishes, face powder to give your skin a finished look, mascara (I personally prefer a lot of mascara...but you know, how much you use is up to you!) and blush or a face highlighter.
This routine, in my opinion, will give you a polished look with minimum products and minimum time!

You can use simple makeup for the day like loose powder, eyemakeup, eyeliner and mascara, and some glossy lips. For the eyemakeup use brushes, the makeup looks better. This is what I do in the morning and it takes me like 5 minutes.
