It depends on your nationality and intended route of entry.
If you are flying in to Niarobi or Mombassa you can often get the visa issued on arrival. However, you really need to check with the Kenyan Diplomatic Mission in the country you are living to be certain (or visit their web page).
Also be sure to carry your Yellow Fever Vaccination Certicicate with you, they are likely to check for that on entry and could refuse you without one (few other countries bother to the same extent).
Finally, do not accept unsolicited offers of help from anyone you do not know. Particularly if landing in Nairobi, it is a dangerous city and so be sure you will have arrangements for your first nights accommodation booked.
Have a great trip.

The first time I travelled to Kenya, I sent my passport away to the Kenyan embassy, and sweated the entire time that I would not get it back in time.
The next two times I travelled to Kenya, I had CASH in my pocket, and got my passport stamped in the airport. It took two minutes after waiting in the line. You can't miss the spot, because you HAVE to walk past the booths in the Nairobi airport.
The travel company that you are going with should have all the info for you.
Good luck and have fun.

hi, Have issues replaced (I note this thread is already 6 years previous) related to acquiring a visa to visit Nairobi/Kenya with a Canadian passport? Is it accessible to get a visa upon arrival on the airport? thanks, Marc

Should be able to find the Kenyan visa application online. And fill it out and mail your passport to the nearest embassy.

Otherwise , you could get one in Cairo. I am pretty certain it is pretty easy. You may have to take a shot though.
