If you want to bring cash money you can bring what ever currency you have in your home country. Every currencies is changed into Dirhams (UAE currency).
Many money changing places are available.Al-Ansari is mostly every where. Also these places offer better rates than banks. The worst exchange rate you will receive if you pay with foreign currency in a store. The first Al-Ansari branch you will find at the airport in Terminal 2 when you arrive. Also you'll find them in all the malls and all over the city. The same with ATM machines. Ask your bank how much they charge you for withdrawing money outside your home country.

AED also known as: Dhs & UAE Dirham btw .. Dubai is a city in the United Arab Emirates .. so it is UAE currency not Dubai currency ..

Cash machines are readily available, but you're best to take US dollars if you want to carry cash there. Most shops allow you to pay in dollas too.
