Because they're mentally incapable of addressing his actual arguments; so they make ad hominem attacks against the man.

Are they really lying about Al? They just don't believe what he's saying. If they say something that goes against the mantra he puts out, is that a lie or just unbelief?
A better question is why liberals don't question tht things he says more? After all here's a man that couldn't convince his home state he was the best choice to be President. What do people in Tennessee know that Gore supporters don't? They pick a guy from Texas over him. And everyone knows Tennesseans don't care for Texans much.

Name which lie, and perhaps you'll have an answer. I don't think conservatives lie about Al Gore more than they do about any other person (the people they lie most about are already dead).
Some however may suffer from a guilt trip in the fact that Gore won the popular vote in 2001, and the same supreme court that upholds abortion and flag burning as constitutional rights gave the election to their man instead of Gore.
Politics make my head spin. If you ever understand it, please explain it to me.

I agree with agent Smith, with do those horrible conservatives say? I havent heard anything about Al Gore other than his movie in the last couple of days. I have heard people want him to run for President. Do I like him? No. but he is better than Obama and Clinton.

The only reason to lie about Gore is that the truth would be so much worse.

They don't lie, they just point out what a phoney hypocrite Al Gore is. As a redirect: Why does Al Gore lie all the time? Global warming is a natural phenomenon. But you have to admire he's making a nice profit off it.

What lie would that be? Pointing out Gore's religious fanaticism on the global warming issue is not a lie. Noting Gore's socialist leanings is not a lie. Pointing out that Gore was the source of the Willie Horton flap in the 1988 presidential campaign is not a lie. Just what lie to you reference?

My Granddaddy would call people who trust what Gore says -- gullible. The kind of individual who would buy snake oil from a traveling salesman. How many huge houses does Gore have to own and how many private jet flights does he have to take a month until people can see through the hypocrisy?
